I’m in the process of re-designing my site layout, so please excuse the dust while it’s in progress. 😉
I’ve finished another science fiction short:) This cyberpunk noir generation ship short story appears in the Best Of ’16 issue of Tevun Krus. The interstellar greatship Melpomene faces a crisis, though some of its citizens–including the all-guiding Sister–see things more as a crossroads. Chief Enforcer Finlo Grady is one of only three remaining First Generation post-homs–humans who willingly take a life-rejuvenating yet very addictive and dangerous substance to prolong their lives. The other post-homs have all died or gone insane over the ship’s three century voyage to seed other planets. Finlo prides himself on being a protector and teacher of what humanity and life on home Earth really mean. But time and isolation have taken their toll on the human heart. As civilization reaches further into the stars, the struggle for meaning in the face of death and absolute power may overcome all.
Be aware that while most of my work is in the PG-13 area, I’d rate this one a light R. Contains extreme language, sexual situations, and violence.
Hello readers and writers! We’ve now entered the final month of 2016, and I’m sure many of us are glad of that. it’s been a fast year but also a difficult one at many levels. I hope all of you are gearing up for a blessed holiday season, if you celebrate, and that the next year will be better for all of us!
I’m working on a couple of short stories over the next two weeks, after which I will return to Beauty In The Bones and the revisions of Ruby Descent full swing. Both are coming along very well and I hope to get the final edits in on RD by spring 🙂
In the meantime, here’s a couple of fun reads on Wattpad 🙂 I’ve written my first science fiction romance story, and *gasp* it’s not a tragic one, but a Happily Ever After piece for @rskovach ‘s Decameron 2.0 event! It’s a fun and crazy space adventure with extraterrestrial characters, titled “My Poison Kiss Doth Purify”. Anyone who likes the antics of Guardians Of The Galaxy or The Fifth Element will likely find it amusing! I plan to revisit this universe and characters eventually because it was so blasted fun 🙂 Here’s the link:
On another end, the wonderful folks over at @Fantasci recently featured me for an interview! Big thanks to all there for the opportunity! Here’s the link to that little appearance:
Have an awesome weekend everyone and stay safe!
