Beauty In The Bones

Cover for Beauty In The Bones

Innocence is subjective, and power always has its price, so his elders told him. But Silas Blane is destined for greatness. Throughout his young life, he’s watched others stumble about the game, adhering to the empty etiquette and protocols of the elite orbital society.

Everything changes on Black Sky Day.

The homeworld falls beneath the crush of robotic armies, driven by the dictator known as the Kaezer. Soon after, Earth’s water is tainted with a deadly bio-weapon. Amid the treacherous struggle that follows, Silas faces many choices. Loyalty and honor are mere words. The prize is influence, fame, and wealth. And only the most cunning will endure.

Many elements of vintage science fiction, history, and space-opera blend in this decopunk drama. Here we have chromed fusion rockets, robots for every occasion, and a perilous, affluent world which hails to “Downton Abbey” and “Dynasty”.

Silas Blane is the antagonist of “Ruby Descent“, my upcoming decopunk novel. “Beauty In The Bones”, currently a Wattpad project ongoing with a new chapter each week, details his rise to power and fame, and subsequent corruption. It’ll end right at the opening of the novel, with Castor and Silas ready to face off for the final time on the Ruby lift. The story may be followed on Wattpad.
