Hello readers and writers! We’ve now entered the final month of 2016, and I’m sure many of us are glad of that. it’s been a fast year but also a difficult one at many levels. I hope all of you are gearing up for a blessed holiday season, if you celebrate, and that the next year will be better for all of us!
I’m working on a couple of short stories over the next two weeks, after which I will return to Beauty In The Bones and the revisions of Ruby Descent full swing. Both are coming along very well and I hope to get the final edits in on RD by spring 🙂
In the meantime, here’s a couple of fun reads on Wattpad 🙂 I’ve written my first science fiction romance story, and *gasp* it’s not a tragic one, but a Happily Ever After piece for @rskovach ‘s Decameron 2.0 event! It’s a fun and crazy space adventure with extraterrestrial characters, titled “My Poison Kiss Doth Purify”. Anyone who likes the antics of Guardians Of The Galaxy or The Fifth Element will likely find it amusing! I plan to revisit this universe and characters eventually because it was so blasted fun 🙂 Here’s the link:
On another end, the wonderful folks over at @Fantasci recently featured me for an interview! Big thanks to all there for the opportunity! Here’s the link to that little appearance:
Have an awesome weekend everyone and stay safe!
This Friday, Nov. 18th I’ll be doing a live appearance on the internet radio show Speculative Fiction Cantina! The show goes live at 3 PM PDT/6 PM EDT, check it out if you can! I’ll be doing an interview as well as a live reading from my dieselpunk novel, “Perfect World Somewhere” 🙂 Also featured is fellow decopunk author, Sophia Martin, whom I personally adore. This is one not to miss if you love ‘punk fiction and if you want to learn more about decopunk
“Beauty In The Bones” Episode 3–Symposium Of Privilege continues in Part 5. Silas and his little brother, Castor, are presented in a momentous Levee as the heirs of Jaster and Blane. The sinister Duke Rofschild extends his power, but fails to overcome Silas’ brimming confidence. Uncle Holten Jaster warns of danger and bolsters his nephew’s defense with his own considerable shamanic gifts. A surprise performance by a mysterious acrobatic burlesque dancer hints that a dark presence still lurks within the halls of the noble brotherhood.
A character sketch of the haughty and manipulative Mrs. Octavia Blane from “Beauty In The Bones”. Decopunk, fashion inspired by Erte, as most of her attire is. Colored and original pencil.
